I would like to reach out and apologize for how I reacted upon learning of the charge for {service}.
I was abrupt and rude, and shouldn’t have said what I said. Specifically, {inappropriate comment}. You deserve to be properly compensated for your time and expertise. I was out of line.
This is no excuse, but to add a little insight, I am currently dealing with {stressful issue/unexpected expense/etc.}. Additionally, learning of {car trouble/irreparable item/sick animal/medical issue/etc.} was unexpected and distressing.
